Urban Decay – Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlighter (Review/Swatches)

I’m going to review the after glow 8 hour powder highlight by Urban decay. Now Urban Decay doesn’t need any introduction so without further rambling, let’s get into it!

There are currently 3 shades of highlighters – Sin, Aura and Fireball. This review will be on the Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Highlighter in the shade “Sin.”

The outer packaging of the highlight.

The highlighter is extremely pigmented, there is no glitter or chunky shimmer. It is a fine milled highlight.  If you’re looking for a strong highlight or trying to achieve that strobing look, I suggest using a damp brush to get all the pigment on your face. The shade ‘Sin” is a beautifully pigmented champagne-y colour. This shade will work well for Indian skin tone. The shade fireball is peachy highlight and the shade aura is a light pink highlight. The afterglow range has shades for every skin tone.

Swatch. Shade – Sin.

There is no fall out so it can be used as an eyeshadow as well.

The product has to be blended well with a beauty blender or your fingers, it doesn’t work well with a fan brush. It just sits on your skin if you don’t blend it in.

It is a buildable product, it is great for everyday use and can be built up for a more blinding highlight. They have an incredible wear time.

Pros :

  1. Shades for every skin tone.
  2. Highly pigmented.
  3. No fall out.
  4. Buildable

Cons :

  1. Takes time to blend.
  2. Doesn’t work well with fan brushes.
