Affordable makeup for beginners!

When you’re starting off with makeup, it might be a little difficult to decide what makeup product to invest in as you’re a beginner (and on a budget!)

Take it from me ladies, the makeup world is complicated!

I have listed down products (with the links to buy them) that have worked well for me as a beginner and they are all under Rs.1000!

Foundation/BB cream

Maybelline BB cream

This BB cream is priced at Rs. 250 and comes in three different shades unlike the Ponds BB cream.  It gives a natural finish and does not look cakey. It brightens and hydrates your skin with a very little amount of the product. It also has an SPF  of 21. I absolutely love how cute the packaging is!

Lakme 9-5 weightless mousse foundation

This retails for Rs.575 for 29gms of product.  The texture of this is really smooth and it gives a matte finish. It has a medium coverage but you can layer it up! unnamed (3)

Ponds BB cream

The texture of this is very light and it glides onto your skin really well. It’s perfect for everyday use, it has a sheer coverage, it reduces dark spots and gives you an  even skin tone. It has a semi matte finish and has an SPF of 30.

The maybelline fitme concealer retails for Rs. 525 and does an amazing job. It has a natural coverage that leaves skin the way it was meant to be…fresh, breathing, natural!

The Maybelline dream touch blush is perfect for everyday use and it’s very blendable, it glides onto the skin and feels weightless. It gives a natural flush of color to your cheeks, it retails for Rs. 375. The texture of this blush is very buttery. If you like sheer blushes, this is a MUST buy for you!

Kajal and Eyeliner

The lakme eyeconic kajal retails for Rs.200. It lasts up to 8-10 hours, it is smudge proof and has a very smooth texture, I prefer this kajal over the Maybelline colossal kajal because of  how easily it glides on to the lids & waterline.

Maybelline studio lasting gel eyeliner

This retails for Rs 375 for 2.8gms of product. It has a matte finish, the texture is buttery and it dries up very fast. You can also apply it like an eye shadow for an intense smokey eye!

Lakme absolute shine line eyeliner

This liquid eyeliner retails for Rs.300 for 4.5 ml of product. It has a matte finish, it doesn’t smudge and lasts upto 10-12 hours. The tip of brush is very fine, it’s easy to apply yet gives a precise finish, so if you l love doing winged eyeliner, this is for you!

Maybelline does a great job when it comes to mascaras, the Maybelline hyper curl mascara retails for Rs. 375. I love the packaging, it’s long lasting, layers up easily and gives a fuller look to your lashes. This, however isn’t waterproof. The Maybelline colossal is reasonably priced and is waterproof. It comes in a yellow tube, it opens up your eyes and does not clump although it’s very difficult to remove this mascara!

This eyeshadow pallete is my holy grail product. It has all kinds of shades, for when you need to dress up and dress it down, from day to night looks. It has all the shades you’ll ever need!
